Fake currency racket busted, 3 arrested in UP

Hardoi, Apr 22 (UNI) Police today busted a fake currency racket here and arrested three persons possessing over Rs 1.40 lakh in counterfeit tender.

Acting on a tip-off, cops nabbed Ramkaran Singh, Santosh and Sonelal Tiwari in separate raids in the district.

The trio possessed 283 fake currency notes of 500 denominations, police claimed.

The accused were being interrogated.
