Election outcome won't affect stability of Govt : Manmohan
On Board PM's Special AI Aircraft, Apr 22 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today said the outcome of the ongoing assembly elections would have no bearing on the stability of the UPA government.
''I don't think there would be any adverse effect. I am not a psephologist but whichever way the results go, they will have no bearing on the government,'' he told reporters accompanying him on his five-day visit to Germany and Uzbekistan.
Dr Singh declined to say anything on the reported proposal to introduce quota in the private sector and government-funded private educational institutions.
''Elections are on in India. I don't want to comment on issues that the Election Commission may take offence to,'' he added.
The Prime Minister was confident that the Congress would form the next government in Asom.
''I think we are winning in Asom. We will form the next government,'' he added.
