Do not invite everyone for Round Table: Farooq
Srinagar, Apr 22: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah today urged the Centre not to invite every Tom, Dick and Harry for '' Round Table'' conference on Kashmir being held here in May.
Widening of the scope of dialogue process to ''no limit'' will not yield any result, Dr Abdullah said while addressing election rallies in north Kashmir where bypoll is being held in three assembly Constituencies on Monday.
He urged the centre to lure separatists to attend the Round Table conference for a good and result oriented dialogue process.
Dr Abdullah said the people of Kashmir have suffered badly paticularly during the last seventeen years and their wounds should be allowed to heal now.
About the Confidence Building Measures (CBMs) Dr Abdullah said that Kashmiris living on both sides of the Control Line could get benefited by Resettlement Bill passed by State Legislature in early eighties, but it was never allowed to be implemented.
He also spoke about the Anti defection Bill passed in the Legislature by National Conference Government for strengthening democracy in the Jammu and Kashmir.
