Deposition of former MP concludes

Patna, Apr 22 (UNI) The marathon deposition of former MP Ms Rama Devi, which stretched for three months, concluded today in a local sessions court here in the much hyped murder case of ex-minister Brijbihari Prasad.

CBI had produced Ms Rama Devi as its 24th witness in the case before the additional district and sessions jusdge of Patna Ramniwash Prasad on January 19, 2006.

The examination in chief was completed on January 23 followed by cross examination of the witnesses which continued till date.

Ms Rama Devi is the widow of deceased former Science and Technology minister Brijbihari Prasad, who was shot dead on June 13, 1998, in the premises of Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences here.

Nine people, including one MP, two MLAs and one former MLA are facing the trial.
