Day temp remains above normal in most parts of India

Pune, Apr 22 (UNI) Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of madhya Maharashtra and were above normal in some parts of Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Saurashtra and coastal and south interior Karnataka. They were appreciably below normal in some parts of Orissa, Bihar and Uttaranchal and were below normal in Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Kutch, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Heavy rain are likely to occur at many places in Andman and Nicobar Islands.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at few places in Tamil Nadu and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Vidarbha, madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada, interior Karnataka and Kerala and mainly dry weather will prevail over Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Gujrat, Konkan and Goa, Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Very light rain have occurred at isolated places in Orissa, Marahtawada,Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at few places in Andman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Ngaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, east Uttar Pradesh and Kerala.
