Court orders arrest of two SIs for contempt

Mahoba, Apr 22 (UNI) A local court has ordered for the arrest of two Uttar Pradesh Police sub inspectors for contempt and dishonour of summons.

The SIs, Anar Singh and Vrindavan Singh, had been dishonouring court summons for the past one year.

Sources said Hemraj of village Mudhara of the district had filed a case in the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court alleging harrasment by the police.

Consequently, the court summoned the two concerned SIs several times to appear during hearings.

CJM Mahanth Lal today directed police superintendent Sanjiv Gupta to produce the accused before the court.
