Child rapist-killer gets life term

Rajkot, Apr 22 (UNI) A fast track court here sentenced a youth to life imprisionment for killing a seven-year-old child after kidnapping and raping her.

Judge H M Kapadia yesterday sentenced Mahadevgiri Goswami (19), to life imprisionment for murder, seven years for rape and five years for kidnapping.

Goswami had kidnapped the girl from Bichhia Road at Jasdan, about 50 km from here, on March 7, 2004, the FIR lodged by her mother said. The youth knew the girl earlier.
