BSF seize heroin at Indo-Pak border in Amritsar
Amritsar, Apr 22 (UNI) Border Security Force (BSF) personnel today found a one kg packet of heroin, worth Rs one crore in the international market, at the border fence with Pakistan near here.
The contraband was seized by the BSF patrolling party early this morning at gate number 109 of the border fence in Raja Taal village area, a BSF spokesman here said.
A pistol with seven cartridges and a pair of goggles were also found with the packet of heroin, he added.
It was apprehended that the packet of heroin was thrown from the other side of the border and was expected to be collected on this side, the spokesman said, adding that such incidents had occurred several times in the past.
