Asom BJP prays for Mahajan's recovery

Guwahati, Apr 22 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Asom, today wished its leader Pramod Mahajan a speedy recovery.

At a prayer meeting organised here this evening, the party workers prayed for the well-being of the BJP national general secretary, who is also in charge of the state.

Talking to UNI over the phone, state president Indramoni Bora said, '' we are pained and grieved over the incident. We pray to God for his speedy recovery''.

He informed that Mr V Satish and Mr Vijay Gupta have already left for Mumbai and he would follow tomorrow. He said, ''I will also go to Mumbai to enquire about Mr Mahajan's health tomorrow''.

Mr Bora said prayer meetings were being organised by different party units acros the state.

Mr Mahajan had been in the state for the past nine months, leading the election campaign for the saffron party here. He had joined in the Rongali bihu celebrations last week.
