Ashwani Kumar "agitated" over demolitions in Delhi

Hyderabad, Apr 22 (UNI) Stating that he was ''agitated'' over the demolition spree in Delhi, Union Minister of State for Industries Ashwani Kumar today said Union Minister for Urban Development S Jaipal Reddy concurred with him that any law that stifled the end objective had to be done away with.

''Mr Reddy agreed that if 80 per cent of the people breached the law, then there was something wrong with the law and it has to be changed'', he said during a competition advocacy seminar.

Opining that the aberrations over 60 years cannot be corrected in six weeks or so, he said the Delhi Master plan of 1960's was outdated and not a fair reading of the mandate of the Constitution.

''Reasonability is the life of law'', he observed.
