10 killed in AP accidents

Hyderabad, Apr 22 (UNI) Ten people lost their lives in two road accidents in Andhra Pradesh today.

Four people on a two-wheeler, who were on their way to visit a bereaved family, were crushed to death when a sand-laden lorry hit their vehicle near Ibrahimpatnam on the outskirts of the city this morning.

Three people were killed on the spot, while one died en route to hospital.

In the second incident, six people were killed and four injured when the sand-laden lorry in which they were travelling overturned near Mangamuritota in Bheemunipatnam Mandal about 20 km from Visakhapatnam.

Police said the accident occurred when the lorry driver was negotiating a curve. The vehicle fell into the field, burying the victims under the sand.

The deceased belonged to Paradesipalem Village. The injured were admitted to Bheemunipatnam Hospital, police added.
