Three killed, 16 injured in accident in HP

Kullu, Apr 21 (UNI) At least three people were killed and 16 injured after huge boulders fell on a private bus in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh last evening, police today said.

The boulders fell on a moving private bus at Luduwa in Banjra area of the district at about 1815 hrs, while the vehicle was on its way to Anni from Kullu town.

Witnesses and police said the boulders fell on the moving bus from a height of about 700 feet, killing two people on the spot and injuring 17 others.

While two people were killed on the spot, a woman, identified as Kamala Devi, succumbed to her injuries in the government hospital at Kullu early this morning, police said.

Six of the injured have been admitted to a government hospital at Banjar in the district, while 10 were sent home after administering first aid.

A case has been registered and investigations were on.
