Summer trains to run till June 30
New Delhi, Apr 21 (UNI) With a view to clearing the summer rush, the Railways has decided to continue running of summer special trains till June 30.
A total of 67 pair of trains are being run on busy sectors in view of the summer rush. Of these, 46 are weekly, nine tri-weekly and seven bi-weekly while the remaining ones are daily trains.
The weekly trains include Bandra-Jammu Tawi Exp., Bangalore-Hubli Exp., Dadar-Ernakulam Exp., Puri-Howrah Exp., Dadar-Mangalore Exp., Gorakhpur-Ahmedabad Exp., Bangalore-Chennai Central Exp. and Visakhapatnam-Nizamabad Exp.
The tri-weekly trains include Bandra-Jaipur Express, Bangalore-Ernakulam Express, Bangalore-Nagarcoil Express, Howrah-New Delhi Express and New Delhi-Jammu Tawi Express.
A Railway Ministry spokesman today said the seven bi-weekly summer specials include Howrah-Gorakhpur Express, Indore-Bandra Express, Chennai-Nagarcoil Express and Chennai-Madurai Express.
Among the daily trains that would run till June 30 are Gorakhpur-Lokmanya Tilak Express, Chennai Central-Trivandrum Express, and Mumbai-Karwar Express.
