State Planning Board members resigned en masse

Kolkata, Apr 21 (UNI) In accordance with the Election Commission guideline, West Bengal Chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacherjee has resigned from the post of the Chairman of the State Planning Board along with its two vice chairmen-Industries minister Nirupam Sen and Finance minister Asim Dasgupta and its member Dr Suryakanta Mishra, the Health minister.

Informing this official sources here today said while the resignation of the Chief minister as the Chairman has come into effect from March 20, that for Mr Sen and Dr Dasgupta were effective from April one and March 24 respectively.

Similarly, Dr Mishra had step down as the member of the state Planning Board on March 23, the official sources said adding that in their absence the Adtional Chief Secretarty, Development and Planning would act as the Chiarman of the State Planning Board till the new Board was constituted.
