Satyam declares 1:1 bonus, 250 pc final dividend

Hyderabad, Apr 21: Satyam Computer Services Limited, Indias fourth largest Software Company, declared a 1:1 bonus and announced a final dividend of 250 per cent for financial year (FY) 2005-06.

After its board meeting today which endorsed the results of the fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2006, Satyam said its revenue for FY 05-06 from software services stood at Rs 4,793 crore, up 36.12 per cent over FY 04-05.

The annual net profit closed at Rs 981.9 crore, a growth of 38 per cent YoY. The revenue guidance for FY 07 was expected to be in the range of Rs 6,000 crore to Rs 6,100 crore, indicating an annual growth of 25.2 to 27.3 per cent.

It added 120 new customers during Fy 05-06, including 12 Fortune Global 500 and Fortune US 500 Corporation.

Its revenue for the quarter(Q4 of FY 05-06) stood at Rs 1314 crore, a growth of 35.21 per cent YoY while net profit was Rs 284.65, up by 38 per cent YoY and 5.53 per cent sequentially.

The revenue guidance for Q1, 06-07 is expected to be in the range of Rs 1,359 crore and Rs 1,366 crore.

Company Chairman B Ramalinga Raju told the media here the board proposed a bonus issue 1:1 and recommended a final dividend of 250 per cent taking the total dividend in a FY 2005-06 to 350 per cent including the interim dividend of 100 per cent.

The company plans to invest 75 million USD capital in the current year and increase from July next, the wages of its at five to six per cent for onsite and 18-19 per cent for offshore employees.

Nipuna, its BPO subsidiary has recorded revnue of USD 20 Million in FY 05-06.
