Rahul hires house for Sonia's victory

Rae Bareli, Apr 21 (UNI) Lok Sabha MP from Amethi Rahul Gandhi today hired a house in this parliamentary constituency of Uttar Pradesh to ensure a 'memorable' re-election to Lok Sabha for his mother, the AICC president Sonia Gandhi, in the May eight bypoll.

Congress sources here today said Mr Gandhi, also the poll manager of Ms Gandhi, hired the house to oversee the campaigning of his mother in the crucial bypoll.

Mr Gandhi told reporters that the Congress president would visit in Rae Bareli shortly to canvass support for re-election from the constituency.

He further said that as in the past, development would form the nucleus of the electoral campaign.

The young Lok Sabha MP also appointed poll convenors for five assembly constituencies of the parliamentary seat.
