Nobel Biocare to expand in India

Mumbai, Apr 21 (UNI) After junk food and cosmetics, elite Indians can breathe easy, as global leader Nobel Biocare dealing in realignment and beautification of dental disorders announced its plans to enter India in a big way here at a press conference today.

Sweden-based, Nobel Biocare started in 1965, is known world over for its pioneering technique of modern implantology of teeth or innovative esthetic dental solutions. The technique rectifies tooth disorders through use of computers and conducts surgical implantation of teeth or a set of teeth, specially manufactured at its facilities in Sweden and US.

Addressing media persons, Heliane Canepa, President Nobel Biocare said, ''although the company entered Indian market in 2005, it now has plans to train Indian doctors and students in medical colleges in modern dental technology to build up a base of modern dental surgeons in the country.

Dr Roland Glauser from Zurich in his presentation advocated that the technique of implantation and realignment was bloodless and less painfull. Although performed under low anasthesia, the technique had no ill-effects on patients and can be considered as a safe economical option, Dr Glauser pointed out.

Dr Glauser added that the technique is not uniform in treatment and differs according to the need of patients.

Appreciating the expansion of Nobel Biocare in India, dental surgeon Sunil Bhoolabhai, stressed that modern implantology practiced by the compnay was a great success in the industrialised and the same should be adopted by Indian doctors for effective treatment of dental problems.
