Nepal restores security cover to Kosi barrage
Patna, Apr 21 (UNI) Nepal government has restored security cover to Kosi barrage in its territory following intervention of the Government of India.
Director General of Seema Suraksha Bal(SSB), Mukesh Sahay said today that Nepalese security forces had been redeployed to protect the Kosi barrage on request of the Centre in this regard.
Maoists threat to the barrage was looming large after it was left unprotected follwing withdrawal of the security forces by the Nepal government.
The Indian government earlier informed about the withdrawal of the security cover to the Kosi barrage by the Nepal government following strong agitation for the installation of democratic government in the neighbouring country, Mr Sahay added.
