Minister's house blown up by Naxals
Daltanganj, Apr 21: Proscribed CPI(maoist) extremists blew up Jharkhand Water Resource Minister Kamaleswar Singh's ancestral house in Kachara-Kangarpur village of Palamu district by exploding dynamite last night, police said today.
No one was injured in the explosion.
Sources said about 500 Naxals surrounded the village at about 2200 hrs and asked the villagers to disconnect their telephones and switch off their mobiles. They then asked the members of the house to vacate it before blowing it up with dynamite.
Senior police officials, with reinforcements, arrived at the village early today and launched combing operations.
