Minister's house blown up by naxals
Daltanganj, Apr 21(UNI) Proscribed CPI(moist) extremists blew up Jharkhand Water resource minister Kamaleswar Singh's ancestral house at Kachara-Kangarpur village in Palamu district by exploding dynamites last night, police said today.
No one was injured in the explosion.
Sources said about 500 naxals surrounded the village at about 2200 hours and asked the villagers to disconnect their telephones and switch off their mobiles, thus stopping them from informing the police. They then asked the members of the house to vacate it before blowing it up with dynamites.
Senior police officials with reinforcement arrived at the village at wee hours today and launched combing operation to nab the extremists.
