New Delhi, Apr 21 (UNI) A conference to discuss problems faced by workers and small businessmen from Poorvanchal settled in Delhi, in the wake of the sealing of shops and demolitions of unauthorised constructions, will be held on Monday.

The Poorvanchal Karyakarta Sammelan, to be held in the Narayana area of West Delhi, will seek to find a lasting solution to the problems faced by the Poorvanchalis in Delhi to free the community from unemployment, anxiety and uncertainty, Delhi pradesh congress committee Poorvanchal cell chairman Goswami S K Puri said at a press conference here today.

Mr Puri said the Government should adopt proper steps to save the jobs and livelihood of lakhs of people from Poorvanchal who were the worst affected due to the sealing of shops and the ongoing demolition drive in Delhi.

Prominent among those likely to attend the conference would be Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit, AICC treasurer Moti Lal Vora, Minister of State for Home Sri Prakash Jaiswal, Union Minister Oscar Fernandes, DPCC president Ram Babu Sharma, AICC General Secretary Ashok Gehlot and Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam, Mr Puri told mediapersons.
