Maharashtra Legislature prorogued after six-week budget session

Mumbai, Apr 21 (UNI) Both Houses of the Maharashtra Legislature were prorogued today after a six-week budget session.

Governor S M Krishna's prorogation order was read out in the Assembly by Speaker Babasaheb Kupekar and in the Council by Chairman Shivajirao Deshmukh.

The session began on March 13 and the budget was presented on March 21.

The Monsoon session will begin in Mumbai from July three.
