Kozhikode, Apr 21 (UNI) Ruling out any individual hold on Bharatiya Janata party (BJP), party senior leader M Venkiah Naidu today said the resignation of senior leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Madan Lal Khurana would not have any impact on the cadre-based party.

''BJP is not an individual-centred organisation and departure of a particular person will not influence the rank and file of the party as in the case of Congress,'' he told reporters here.

''When K Karunakaran goes out of the Congress, half the party goes. When he comes back, only a quarter of his followers come back,'' he said.

On sexual allegations raised by Mr Khurana, he said, ''we are not worried about his outbursts".

''As long as he was in BJP, the party was good for him. Now he is out it, it has became bad,'' he said.

Stating there was no possibility of a rapproachement with Mr Khurana, Mr Naidu said there was no such precedent in the party.

Such things happened in the Congress.

There were many such instances in that party, he said, referring to the departure of senior leaders Arjun Singh, Madhav Rao Scindia, N D Tiwari, A K Antony, Rajeshekhar Reddy, G K Moopanar, Pranab Mukherjee. All of them later rejoined the Congress.
