Kazakh oil in new pipeline to reach China soon

Singapore, Apr 21: Kazakh crude flowing through the landmark Kazakh-China pipeline is set to reach China in about a week, to supply the world's second-largest oil consumer with 4.5 million tonnes of oil this year, a Chinese industry official said on Friday.

The volume would account for about 4 percent of China's total crude oil imports last year.

''It will start feeding the refineries in May,'' said an official with China National Petroleum Corp., parent of listed PetroChina
