Kadam to move court against Rane in land deal
Mumbai, Apr 21 (UNI) Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Ramdas Kadam today said he would move the court against Revenue Minister Narayan Rane in the Mukand land deal case.
Addressing a press conference at the end of six-week budget session, Mr Kadam, flanked by BJP leader Gopinath Munde, described as ''incorrect'' Mr Rane's statement that he had stayed sale of the land. ''By giving false information, he has misled people of the state'', he alleged.
Mr Kadam claimed the opposition dominated the session by forcing government to take decisions on important issues like irrigation backlog.
Mr Munde said the ruling coalition was neglecting the development issues and was directionless.
He denied any rift in the Sena-BJP alliance, adding ''we are very much together''.
Meanwhile, Mr Rane said Mr Kadam was free to go to court in the Mukand deal.
He dubbed Mr Kadam as ''the weakest and the most inefficient Leader of Opposition the state has ever seen''. '' He did not participate nor initiate discussions in important debates, including bills. He is not fit to be the Leader of Opposition,'' Mr Rane added.
