HIL wins award for excellence

Chennai, Apr 21 (UNI) Henkel India Limited (HIL) has won the award for 'Business Excellence through Total Quality Management' presented by The Safety and Quality Forum (SQF) of India, instituted by the Institute of Engineers (India).

The company was presented the award for outstanding quality standards and management practices and excellent management system in quality, safety and environment at Henkel's manufacturing facility in Kairakal, a company release here said.

The state-of-the-art factory at Karaikal, which was inaugurated in March 1993, has a capacity of 30,000 MT of detergents and 10,000 MT of zeolites, it said.

Commenting on the achievement, Mr Satish Kumar, MD, Henkel India Ltd said, "Environmental protection, safety, health, and quality are aspects that have always been given top priority at Henkel." UNI WS VV 1858
