HC dismisses Reliance's plea on airport privatisation bids

New Delhi, Apr 21 (UNI) Dismissing the petition of Reliance-ASA consortium challenging the decision of the government on airport privatisation issue, the Delhi High Court today justified the decision of the authorities saying that ''No mala fide or arbitrariness were acted upon in awarding the bids to two private developers''.

A division bench of Justice Tirath Singh Thakur and Justice B N Chaturvedi said no legal infirmity was acted upon in giving the bids to GMR-Fraport and GVK-ACS for modernisation of Delhi and Mumbai airports respectively.

''There is in our opinion complete transparency in the decision leading to the modification of the Request for Proposal (RFP) in the tender and uniformity in its application to the bidders, who qualified in the process,'' said the 127-page order.
