Former health director files anticipatory bail petition

Patna, Apr 21 (UNI) Former director in Bihar health services and a ''chargesheeted'' accused in multi-crore flood relief scam Durga Prasad Mandal filed an anticipatory bail petition before the special vigilance court here today.

The designated Judge Ramnivas Prasad fixed April 22 as the next date for hearing.

Meanwhile, Mr Prasad completed hearing on the anticipatory bail petition of another accused Bhagwan Lal Jha and reserved his verdict on the bail petition. The accused is the father of the kingpin of the scam Santosh Kumar Jha.

The state vigilance investigation bureau had submitted supplementary chargesheet against nine people including the duo and RJD MP Sadhu Yadav on April 9.
