Day temperatures go up in J

Pune, Apr 21 (UNI) Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and in some parts of coastal Karnataka and were above normal in some parts of coastal Orissa, Haryana, Rajasthan, and North Madhya Maharashtra.

They were appreciably to markedly below normal in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, interior Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh and were below normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Marathawada, Chattisgarh, Telangana and of South Tamil Nadu.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Andaman and Nicobar and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Haryana, Punjab, North Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka and Kerala.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, South Rajasthan, Gujarat State, Konkan and Goa, Telangana, Rayalseema, coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Very light rains have occurred at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh, West Rajasthan and Madhya Maharashtra and South interior Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at few places in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar and at isolated places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.
