Congress frustrated due to imminent defeat in Budhni: CM

Bhopal, Apr 21 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said a frustrated Congress is levelling false allegations and charges in the face of imminent defeat in the Budhni assembly bypoll.

Mr Chouhan, who is seeking entry into the assembly from Budhni seat, told reporters that the BJP favoured strict adherence to the model code of conduct and extended full cooperation for its implementation.

He said he had always given priority to values in the politics as was clear from his political life.

He expressed surprise that the Congress had forgotten its misdeeds in Budhni while levelling baseless allegations.

Mr Chouhan said a cavalcade of 40 vehicles had reached Budhni when a Union Minister had arrived for campaigning. Similar scenes were witnessed during campaigning by other leaders.

He added that he was sure about his victory and looks upon himself as a public servant and politics as a means to serve.
