CM asks militants to come to negotiating table

Imphal, Apr 21 (UNI) Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh has appealed to the militant groups to come to the negotiating table and start peace talks.

Speaking at a function at Bashikhong yesterday, Mr Singh said there have positive response from some of the Kuki militant groups.

The government has planned to sign an agreement with the Kuki militants, he added.

Meanwhile, troops of 22 Maratha Light Infantry apprehended a People's Liberation Army (PLA) cadre yesterday, official sources said.
