Civil Services Day celebrated in Delhi

New Delhi, Apr 21 (UNI) Civil Services Day was today celebrated in the capital with Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit been presented a copy of compilation of 'Good Governance Practices'.

The compilation on good administrative practices had been prepared after comprehensive exchange of views by senior most civil services officers of the state government.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms Dikshit said Delhi had become the first state to chalk out a workable action plan relating to good administrative practices, which would revolutionise the work culture in various offices of Delhi government.

The compilation had been prepared keeping in view concerns of citizens, legislators and civil services officers.

She expressed confidence that the new practices would go a long way in making city government more friendly and responsive.

The administration would become hassle-free. Officers would be imparted training to enable them to achieve desired results.

A number of senior civil services officers besides Delhi Chief Secretary S Regunathan was present at the simple function organised at Delhi Secretariat.
