Bardhan predicts change in Congress attitude

Thrissur, Apr 21(UNI) Communist Party of India general secretry A B Bardhan today said that the Congress would be compelled to change its attitude due to the pressure of the Left parties after the Assembly elections in Kerala.

Participating in a meet-the-press programme of the Press Club, he said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi did not subscribe the view that the policies of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) in Kerala was against development.

He said the the LDF had given much importance in its poll manifesto for the uplift of farmers and the weaker sections of the society.
