Another DA instalment for employees released in Haryana

Chandigarh, Apr 21 (UNI) The Haryana Government has released another instalment of dearness allowance to its employees with effect from January 1, 2006.

Now the employees would get DA at the rate of 24 per cent of their basic pay thus registering an increase of three per cent in the dearness allowance, Finance Minister Birender Singh said today.

He said that the employees would get this enhanced DA in cash with their salary from May. The arrears from Janauary to April would be credited to their GPF accounts.

With the release of this instalment, there will be an additional burden of Rs 113.40 crore on the state exchequer.
