Advani declines to comment on Khurana's charges
Nagpur, Apr 21: Leader of opposition in Lok Sabha L K Advani today declined to comment on the allegations levelled against him by Madan Lal Khurana who resigned from the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) yesterday.
Mr Advani refused to express his views on Khurana's remarks at him saying, ''I do not know what Khurana said.'' However, Khurana had alleged at a press conference in New Delhi yesterday that Mr Advani was the only obstacle in building Ram Temple and described BJP as ''Private Limited Party.''
Talking to reporters here before proceeding to Rajnandgaon in Chhatisgarh as part of his 35 day 'Bharat Suraksha Yatra', Mr Advani spoke on BJP's stand on smaller States, growing demand for reservations by Muslims, terrorism and others.
Today is the 12th day of Advani's Yatra. He entered Vidarbha yesterday from Andhra Pradesh at Yeotmal from where he reached Nagpur last night.
The Yatra has covered 2,392 km out of the targeted 6,000 km distance and passed through Gujrat, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.
He has so far addressed 98 public meetings in 138 places.
