2 GREF officials among 4 killed, two Pak infiltrators arrested in JK

Srinagar, Apr 21 (UNI) Four persons, including two GREF officials were killed while security forces arrested two Pakistani infiltrators and two others surrendered in the Jammu and Kashmir overnight, official sources said.

An official spokesman said militants kidnapped three GREF officials when they were on way to Budhan in Udhampur district of Jammu region last evening.

Later, two officials Vijay Raj, a resident of Chandigarh and Kuldeep Singh, a local were killed. However, third employee managed to escape unhurt.

They said militants abducted and later killed one person Ghulam Nabi Magray at Kangan late last night.

Security forces gunned down a militant in an encounter at Anantnag in south Kashmir last night. The encounter ensued after a search party was attacked by the militants. One ak rifle and other arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain militant.

Spokesman said security forces arrested two infiltrators immediately after they crossed over to this side from Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). They were later handed over to police, he said.

Militants shot at and wounded one Mohammad Rafiq Dar at Batango in south Kashmir district of Anantnag last night. He was hospitalised.

Two militants surrendered alongwith one ak rifle, one magzine, 30 rounds of ammunition, one pistol and four hand grenades last night.
