New Delhi, Apr 20: Even though upbeat at reduced violence levels in Jammu&Kashmir, Army Chief General JJ Singh today expressed deep concern at continuance of infrastructure for training of militants across the border in the northern state.

''As per our information, the infrastructure to train terrorists across the border is intact'', Gen Singh informed mediapersons here.

''Somebody is obviously helping them'', the Army Chief pointed out even while conceding that violence had gone down in the hitherto militancy-riven state.

Giving details of the past two years, Gen Singh said while during 2004-05 a total of 870 terorists had been killed at the cost of 160 soldiers last year, 2005-06, had seen 860 terrorists falling to security forces who lost 115 soldiers.
