St Andrews to stage Open's 150th anniversary event in 2010
LONDON, Apr 20 (Reuters) The British Open will return to St Andrews in 2010 (July 15-18) to mark the tournament's 150th anniversary, the event's organisers said today.
St Andrews will be hosting its 28th Open, more than any other course.
The Old Course was first used for the Open in 1873 and most recently hosted the 2005 championship which featured Tiger Woods's second Open title and three times winner Jack Nicklaus's final championship round.
