Revenue stamp scam worth Rs 36 lakh detected in Mahoba

Mahoba, Apr 20 (UNI) A scam pertaining to bungling in revenue stamp fees realisation worth Rs 36 lakh in a property deal has been detected in this district of Uttar Pradesh.

Additional District Magistrate (ADM) B K Singh here today said a case has been registered in this connection. It has been alleged that a person purchasing a land, in collusion with the employees of registry department, managed to undervalue the concerned land and paid Rs 36 lakh less stamp fees during registry of the deal.

A notice has been served to the person who purchased the land for recovery of the stamp fees dues.

Mr Singh said the DM Ravindra has also directed for strict action against the employees of the registry department involved in the alleged scam.
