One killed, 3 injured in grenade attack

Jammu, Apr 21 (UNI) A constable was killed and three other injured in a grenade attack by unidentified terrorists at Bhaderwah in Doda district of Jammu region this evening.

According to the police, the grenade hurled by the terrorists, went off in police station premises just near the sub divisional police office in which a constable died on the the spot and three others were injured ,two of them seriously.

The deceased was indentified as Hafeezullah while the injured constable were indentified as constable Farooq Ahmed, Mohammed Yusuf and Shoukat Ali. They have been admitted in the civil hospital in Bhaderwah.

Meanwhile, the senior police officer with additional force has rushed to the spot and combing operation launched to nab the terrorists.

The attack has come at a time when Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad is seeking by-election from Bhaderwah constituency on April 24.
