Latika Saran new CoP for Chennai

Chennai, Apr 20 (UNI) Additional Director General of Police Ms Latika Saran was today posted as the first Woman Police Commissioner of Greater Chennai by the Tamil Nadu government, under the orders of the Election Commission, in place of Mr R Nataraj.

Ms Saran was Additional Director General of Police, Headquarters, Chennai, a post which has now been given to Mr Nataraj.

'My first priority is to maintain law and order in the city as well as provide suitable bandobust for the smooth conduct of the May 8 elections to the Assembly in the city, ''Ms Saran told UNI when she was contacted.
