Higest prize money rating chess tourney from tomorrow

Mumbai, Apr 20 (UNI) The Thakur international rating chess tournament will be held at the Thakur college complex here from tomorrow.

A release issued here today stated that the tournament organised by the Venus Chess Academy under the aegis of the Bombay Chess Association is the largest ever prize money tournament with a total prize money of Rs 4.60 lakhs at stake.

A total of 300 players including 20 International Masters and 150 international rating players are expected to participate in this tournament.

The tournament will be sponsored by Thakur Education Trust and co-sponsored by MTNL and Eurokids International Pvt. Limited, the release further added.
