HC asks state government to file affidavit on Info Act

Patna, Apr 20 (UNI) Patna High Court today directed the Bihar government to file an affidavit before May 18 over implementation of Information Act in the state.

Hearing a public interest litigation petition filed by Bihar Congress chief spokesperson Prem Chandra Mishra, a division bench comprising Chief Justice Dr J N Bhatta and Justice S N Hussain expressed anguish over the delay in implmentation of Information Act and directed the cabinet coordination secretary to file the affidavit regarding implementation of Information Act.

Advocate general P K Shahi said the government had already initiated steps for implementation of the act in the state.
