Effigy of Imam Bukhari burnt by Muslim Mahaj at Jantar Mantar

New Delhi, Apr 20 (UNI) Condemning the assault on the media by Jama Masjid Imam Ahmad Bukhari and his followers outside the Prime Minister's residence on Tuesday last, members of the All India Pasmanda Muslim Mahaj today demanded his arrest and burnt the Imam in effigy at the Jantar Mantar here.

The All India Pasmanda Muslim Mahaj members led by its chief Rajya Sabha member Ali Anwar also demanded that a case under 307 be slapped against the Imam.

Warning political parties against shielding the Imam for the assault, Mr Ali said it would prove counterproductive as people have become conscious about the vote bank politics of the Imam.
