Congress to observe May 14 as Re-dedication Day

Hyderabad, Apr 20 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee has decided to observe May 14, as the Day of Re-dedication to party ideals.

Stating this at a press conference here, PCC Chief and MP Dr K Keshava Rao said around 15,000 delegates, including the Chief Minister, Ministers, party MLAs, Executive members and other functionaries would participate in the Re-dedication programme to be held here. AICC members and representatives of the AICC would participate in the programme, he added.

Dr Rao said during the day-long session, the functioning of the Congress government and the redemption of promises made during elections would be reviewed. He said suggestions would be sought to further welfare programmes and a report would be submitted to the government.

Dr Rao said the session would be of help for strengthening the party and prepare it for the ensuing Panchayat elections. He said a committee was being formed for organising the session.
