ASSOCHAM for affirmative action not reservation
New Delhi, Apr 20: The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASSOCHAM) today opposed the initiation of reservation in the private sector for backward communities and suggested that affirmative action would be more welcome for their upliftment instead.
ASSOCHAM President Anil K Agarwal has supported the proposal of imposition of additional education cess that should go to the Consolidated Fund of India and should be utilised for the betterment of backward communities.
