Asian Junior ranking tennis tourney from April 24-29

Mumbai, Apr 20 (UNI) Four of the top 20 players in the boys Asian Tennis Federation rankings have confirmed their participation for the Asian Ranking Junior under-14 tennis tournament to be played here from April 24 to 29.

The tournament, being organised by the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) under the aegis of the All India Tennis Association, will be held at the Dr G A Ranade Tennis Centre here.

In the boys event, Arvind Fernando of Sri Lanka ranked number six in Asia will lead the challenge along with the host nation's Sai Teja Paladugu (rank 10), Kunal Anand (rank 11), Vishvesh Sinha (rank 17 and Ryoto Tachi of Japan (rank 24).

Among the girls, the highest rank participating here will be Shweta Rana of India with a rank of eight in Asia. Other top players are Rashmi Teltumbde, Likhita Devraj and Ashwarya Agrawal.

The qualifying rounds will be held on April 22 and 23, while the main draw will begin from April 24, a release issued by the MSLTA stated here today.
