Anticipatory bail for MSD accused rejected

Patna Apr 20 (UNI) Special CBI judge of Patna Jawahar Prasad Ratnesh today rejected an anticipatory bail petition of an employee of Bihar's Health department in two separate cases of multi-crore Medical Store Depot (MSD) scam.

The first case was related to illegal purchase of medicines worth over Rs. 2.93 crore from Mumbai and Kolkata.

The other was related to illegal purchase of medicine worth more than Rs.10.57 lakh from GMSD Kolkata in Sadar Hospital of Vikramganj in Sasaram (Rohtas) district between 1992-1998 and 1993-94.

The CBI had submitted chargesheet in both the cases.
