4 arrested while trying to extort 1 crore from Parliamentarian kin

New Delhi, Apr 20 (UNI) Police have arrested four persons, including their kingpin, for allegedly trying to extort Rs one crore from a relative of a Parliamentarian.

Kingpin Jaswinder alias Goldie was arrested by Special Cell sleuths from Noida yesterday after another accused was arrested in Patna on April 18, police said today.

Fake documents, I-cards and several dozen rubber stamps and seals were recovered from his possession.

The accused through a call on February 2, and using the name of a dreaded criminal in Bihar Naga Singh, asked Jagjit Singh to pay Rs one crore in hard. The callers also burnt his car to show their 'power' and threatened to kidnap his son if the money was not paid.
