Vadodara Mayor receives threat call

Vadodara, Apr 19 (UNI) Vadodara Mayor and BJP leader Sunil Solanki was today provided armed police protection after he received a threat from an anonymous caller for allegedly harassing Muslims.

In his complaint to the police, Mr.Solanki said the anonymous call made to his residence's landline number, was received by his son. As the phone had no caller ID, the caller, who threatened to kill the Mayor if did not stop harassing Muslims, could not be traced.

Immediately after the incident, Mr Solanki had a high level meeting with senior police officials and BJP leaders.

Mr Solanki is currently in the news for leading VMC's anti- encroachment drive in the city and had ordered demolition of several religious places encroaching the road.
